Training Tips: Contact Exercises.

After the first week of getting used to your new humans, it is wise to begin their training to ensure an ample supply of treats are provided. We have to start with the basics as the poor souls don’t understand the doggie gold standard, woof and sniff. Now you want to begin with getting the humans to make eye contact, for this you need to ensure the human has an appropriate tribute ready to reward are gazes. Then you simply give the humans the occasional look, for which you are rewarded. Once you have been sufficiently rewarded you can begin to give them a bit more of a stare. Repeat this exercise regularly with your humans.

Names And Reward Words

Once you have established eye contact with your humans, your ready for the next stage of their training. In this case you want the human to say your name in as happy or ecstatic manner as possible, for which you reward them with further gazes and they will pay tribute with more treats. This is a good means of conditioning your humans to always be happy to receive your attentions, for are time is valuable and the world is a smelly place. As well as your name this exercise can be performed regularly with a variety of other words of praise to ensure your humans are appropriately grateful for your presence.
